A Poem Of Love
You and I have been together for almost five years now,
Our relationship just keeps getting stronger and stronger,
How did I ever live without you in my life?
I would be hopelessly lost without your love.
We spend our days together, seldom apart,
No matter what I am doing,
You are always at my side with your adoring eyes,
Your only wish is just to be with me.
When we take our daily walks, rain or shine,
You walk slightly ahead of me, and sometimes you glance back,
To make sure I’m still there and haven’t left you,
Do you walk ahead to protect me from any harm?
At the end of our busy day, I make your dinner,
You never complain about what I cook,
You appreciate my delicious home cooked chicken and rice.
You know that is my way of saying I love you.
There are those rare times when I have to leave you alone,
I know how much you miss me when I’m gone,
So I hurry home, and you greet me with excitement,
You act as if you thought I’d never return.
When we ride around town in the car together,
You proudly sit beside me, happy to jjust be with me,
People go by, and think what a lovely companion that lady has,
I think they are a little jealous of my beautiful friend.
I anxiously wait for you late at night,
To join me in my bed,
I feel you gently climb in beside me,
Not wanting to awaken me, I suppose.
Then I feel your body getting ever so close
Until you are nestled in the small of my back,
I feel your sweet pink tongue kiss the back of my neck,
And I turn to face you, because I know what you want.
You slowly turn over on your back so that I can rub your stomach,
I caress your soft, smooth pink skin with my fingers,
You groan in appreciation, as is to say, please don’t stop.
Soon, we sleep and perhaps dream of our day together.
The morning comes, and we awaken,
My love and I hop out of bed at the same time,
We both look forward to another exciting day,
Another day to share our love and devotion.

My constant companion and best friend is not a member of the opposite sex.
This poem is dedicated to my Miniature Schnauzer named Baby. She and I are inseparable. I got Baby when she was eight weeks old.
How can I describe her? She is beautiful, intelligent, playful, mischievious, and stubborn at times.

Just wonderful Mary! Voted up and beautiful.I bet you miss her and she misses you. I believe you said she was not accompanying you to PR. Baby will be one ecstatic doggy when you get back home. My cat Sid has taken to sleeping on my hip when I sleep on my right or left side. In fact if I get up during the night he waits until I return and as soon as I settle into bed there he is on one of my hips. lol
I was almost shielding tears.. And I saw it was a dog.. Then I smiled. And I smiled again and a tear drop fell from my brown eyes.. And I smiled again.. Which you both everything beautiful the world has to offer.. Wish you both a love without spot and more exciting and mind blowing moment each time you wake to a brand new day..

Hi Gypsy Rose Lee. So nice to see you today! Yes I had to leave Baby behind this time when I came to Puerto Rico, but if and when I return, I will bring her (if I can find a rental that will take pets). I do miss that little gal. Believe it or not, the kids at home put the phone receiver to her ear and I talk to her! That's so cute about your cat, Sid. I'm here for one more week, then I go home. I've really enjoyed it here, though. Bye for now...

Our dogs are certainly wonderful companions and amazing in the way they forgive us when we forget to do something for them. When I apologize, mine puts her head down and goes around in a circle as she is apologizing, too!

Hi Mary! What a little cutie! I could feel the love you have for her. She sounds just adorable.I love how you,talk about taking walks. when I go for a walk I have Trouble of course, and 3 others following me Ha Ha when I used to walk everyday. I just lost porsha my alaskan malamute, she loved me son. One day she couldn't walk. For almost three weeks I'd literally sleep by he. (she was to big for me with my heart and back, Even if i didn't have those diseases, I still could pick her up. she was sitting in the hallway. She looked at me with her trusting big eyes and I loved her so. For 3 weeks I put her on a blanket by me on the floor and bought pads in case she had an accidents. I would take care of her.I flatly refused to leave her. we got some calming pills from the pet store. Finally after 3 weeks with my bad back I stayed by her side. I figure Its not going to kill me,deal with it. I was caring for her in case it was temporary. my husband took her in and they put her to sleepI'll never foret how she nuzzled marc as he left. Just before he had like a bed he made in the truck cab.I'll never for get the way she looked at me with those eyes and knowing what we had to do.I hugged her, kissed her said I love you because Marc was afraid the stress would set me up for heart attack or a stroke. So he went alone. I begged him not to leave her to hold her and make sure she left us loving her.reading your hub as loving as it is , is beautiful. I can't get another dog.too old to get one now. Plus TROUBLE would have a hyper fit. Trouble HATES other animals.
