Time To Go Home
I left my heart at home with my loved ones,
Where they are all waiting for me,
Puerto Rico had been on my “Bucket List”
And it has been all that I had hoped it would be.
I’ve seen its beauty from coast to coast,
I’ve eaten too much, and have spent a lot of time,
Just laying around in the tropical sun,
I’ve had time to relax, write, and rhyme.
Now my thoughts turn to my home,
Where my family all wait with open arms,
They’ll all talk at once, and want to hear,
Of this Enchanted Island, and its charms.
I’ll be home soon, I promise,
Hold those kisses and hugs a little longer,
Our love for one another will never die,
But being apart has make our love stronger.
To be separated from the ones you love,
Is good for us all every once in a while,
But then the heart begins to ache,
To see loving faces, and their smile.
What’s next on my “bucket list”? You may wonder,
I don’t have a clue yet, but wherever it may be,
I hope it’s a place that they will want to go,
Because they’ll have to tag along with me!

Hi Sunnie Day, it always brightens my day to see your smile! I'm anxious to get home, but I've had a wonderful time here in Puerto Rico. My cousin went to Ireland last year and couldn't stop talking about her wonderful time there. Go for it! If I could afford it, I'd go to a lot of different places. See you again soon....

Hi Mary. It's always good to get away. It refreshes your mind and gives a little perspective. But..............it's always good to come home. I am happy for you to get the chance. Check it off the list. I will bet there are things that happened or things that you saw, that will make a good hub to share with us. Did you see any snakes? ha ha.
